    1. Any of several deciduous trees of the genus Morus, having unisexual flowers in drooping catkins and edible multiple fruit.
    2. The sweet fruit of any of these trees.

ETYMOLOGY:
Middle English mulberrie, from Old English mrberie, and Middle Low German mlberi, mrberi both from Latin mrum + Old English berie, berry or Old High German beri, berry; see bh-1 in Indo-European roots
